Thank You for Celebrating 60 Years with Us
On Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October, we opened the doors to our Bakewell stores for a very special occasion: Brocklehursts’ 60th Anniversary Open Weekend. And what a weekend it was!
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who joined us — whether you’ve been with us for decades or were stepping into our store for the very first time. It meant the world to see so many familiar faces (and a few new ones), all coming together to help us mark this milestone.
A Weekend to Remember
Across both our Bridge Street and Matlock Street stores, the atmosphere was buzzing with warmth, conversation, and a shared love of countryside style.
Over the two days, visitors were treated to:
- Expert advice and insights from brand reps from Schoffel, Le Chameau, Beretta and Ariat.
- First looks at new-season arrivals across clothing, footwear, and accessories
- Light refreshments and a relaxed, welcoming shopping experience
- Plenty of stories, memories, and good-natured chats — just the way we like it
It reminded us exactly why we’ve loved being part of the Bakewell community for 60 years — and why we’re excited for the years ahead.
A Few Memorable Highlights
The excitement around the R.M. Williams prize game and Spin the Wheel was absolutely well-deserved, with plenty of lucky winners across the weekend. We hope you enjoy your prizes as much as we enjoyed giving them out!
The weather remained perfect throughout the weekend, the Gin & Tonics were flowing freely, and by the end of the weekend, our shelves looked noticeably lighter!
